Jiantan English Village Teachers. 劍潭EV教師團隊

We have a talented and capable group of teachers at our English Village.

Our teachers are all fully qualified and have a wealth of teaching expereince here in Taiwan and abroad.

We really enjoy teaching our students and try to plan the most intersting lessons that we possibly can.

We always give our best in everything that we do - of course!

'The name is Bond: Brian Bond'. I’m not James Bond, 007; I wish, but I am a qualified school teacher from Australia who has made ilha Formosa his home. I have lived here in beautiful Taiwan for eight years now and plan to be here for many years to come! Taiwan has been good to me – I have learnt a lot about life, myself, and teaching English during my time here. As important as grammar, sentence patterns, and vocabulary are, what is more important is that I give my students the opportunity to speak and interact with a foreigner and to give them a ‘window’ into another world. This, I believe, will be the greatest benefit to my students. Further, I believe that this is what the Jiantan Elementary School English Village also offers our students!

So … c’mon guys; let’s go!

My name is Warwick Taylor and I’m from Cape Town, South Africa. I taught for a year before embarking on my journey to Taiwan. I aspire to become more than just a teacher and see Taiwan as a great opportunity. The time spent here has not only been rewarding, but has also enriched my experience. My aim is to use what I learnt to shed light on English in a fun and comfortable atmosphere. This includes linking interesting activities, such as yoga and rugby, to English instruction. This is pioneering the way we all look at the English language and how it is taught.

Janny
Carol

Hi. I am Janny. It is nice to be one of the Jiantan Elementary School English Village teachers. After more than 20 years teaching English to children in a bilingual working environment, my life and my point of view have expanded. And the progress in my English ability and feedback from students are what fuels my passion to and keeps me loving this job.

“Life is either an adventure or nothing.” And better than that, I have many wonderful people to join me in the adventure of learning English at JET English Village. We will have many amazing experiences, and I hope you can be part of it, too.

My name is Carol.  I am from the most beautiful city, Taipei, Taiwan. I have been teaching at Jiantan Primary School for 10 years. At the very beginning, I taught as a homeroom teacher in the first grade for two years.

Then I went abroad to get a master’s degree.

Based on what I learned in Northern Ireland, I have been teaching English as a subject teacher for the last seven years. My hobbies are traveling, hiking and learning Spanish.
